AHA Heartsaver® CPR | AED | First Aid

The American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver® CPR | AED | First Aid course is a comprehensive training program designed for individuals, including laypersons, teachers, childcare providers, and workplace personnel, who want to acquire essential life-saving skills. This course covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED) use, and basic first aid techniques. It equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively to a variety of emergency situations.

Key components of the AHA Heartsaver® CPR | AED | First Aid course include:

  1. Adult, Child, and Infant CPR: Participants learn how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants, including chest compressions and rescue breaths.

  2. AED Usage: The course covers the use of AEDs to deliver electrical shocks to individuals in sudden cardiac arrest. Participants learn to operate these life-saving devices.

  3. Choking Relief: Instruction on recognizing and responding to choking victims of all ages, including the Heimlich maneuver for adults and back blows and chest thrusts for infants.
