A Legacy of Service, A Future of Training
- BVAC Rescue Response Training Center is based in Bayside, Queens, and provides emergency response, safety, and preparedness education for individuals, community members, workplaces, and professionals. Founded in 1955, BVAC has longstanding roots in community service and continues that mission today through training and public education.
- The organization’s current focus is on preparedness, prevention, and practical instruction. Rather than emphasizing emergency response after an incident occurs, the training center is designed to help people understand how to recognize emergencies, respond appropriately, and support safety in everyday environments.

Our Training Focus
BVAC provides professional, hands-on training in health, safety, emergency response, and preparedness. Our programs include CPR and American Heart Association courses, bleeding control, trauma and tactical medical training, pet first aid, concealed carry education, and customized community and workplace safety programs.
Each course is designed to build practical skills, improve confidence, and prepare students to respond effectively in real-world emergencies.
Who BVAC Serves
- BVAC serves individuals and organizations across New York City, Long Island, Westchester County, Connecticut, and New Jersey. Our students come from Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island, Nassau County, and Suffolk County.
- We train parents, caregivers, educators, workplace teams, faith-based organizations, first responders, security professionals, tactical medical personnel, and others seeking practical safety and emergency preparedness skills.
- Our dedicated training center provides a structured environment where students can practice emergency procedures, build confidence, and develop skills for use at home, at work, in the community, and in high-risk operational settings.
A Continuing Community Mission
BVAC’s history is deeply rooted in serving Bayside and the surrounding communities. Although the organization no longer provides ambulance transportation or emergency medical response, its commitment to public service remains strong.
Today, BVAC continues that mission through professional education, community outreach, and hands-on training programs focused on health, safety, emergency preparedness, and lifesaving skills.
By helping individuals, families, workplaces, and public safety professionals prepare for emergencies, BVAC continues to strengthen community readiness and carry forward its long-standing tradition of service.
