Virtual Pet First Aid & Disaster Response Course (via Zoom)
Learn how to save your pet’s life from the comfort of your home!
Our live online Pet First Aid and Disaster Response course is designed for pet owners and animal caregivers who want to be prepared to handle common medical emergencies and injuries in pets. Taught through interactive Zoom sessions, this 4-hour virtual class covers essential life-saving techniques, emergency planning, and real-time demonstrations that will empower you to confidently act when your pet is in distress.
Virtual Pet First Aid Skills Demonstration Guidelines
For safety, effectiveness, and ethical reasons, you will not be using your real pet during the skills demonstration in our virtual Pet First Aid class. This helps keep both you and your animal stress-free while ensuring a productive learning experience.
Instead, please have a stuffed animal or pet mannequin ready. A basic plush toy with a head and legs works well for practicing CPR, bandaging, and positioning techniques.
During the live demonstration, we will guide you step-by-step through each skill, just like in an in-person class. When it’s time for your skills test, you’ll demonstrate each procedure using your model and verbally explain your actions. This allows us to assess your understanding and give feedback or corrections if needed
Please note: This course is NOT a replacement for professional veterinary care.
