




The USEPA Lead Risk Assessor Initial is a 16-hour (2-day) training program that prepares students to perform lead risk assessments, elevated blood lead level (EBLL) investigations, hazard evaluations, and clearance evaluations. The course includes hands-on workshops covering visual inspection techniques, sampling for additional sources of lead exposure, and how to interpret laboratory lead results.
Prerequisite (Required): Students must have completed the USEPA Lead Inspector Initial training. Proof of completion is required before attending.
After successfully completing the course, students receive an Interim Course Completion Certificate, allowing them to work as a Lead Risk Assessor for up to 6 months while completing the USEPA application process for the full 3-year license.
