Be the first to act when every second counts. BVAC’s First Response Essentials is a compact, hands-on course that combines essential life-saving skills for everyday people, caregivers, and workplace teams.

Course Overview

This practical course covers:

• AHA BLS CPR (Adult, Child & Infant) — high-quality chest compressions, rescue breaths, and AED operation.
• Stop the Bleed — Bleeding Control — direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application.
• Emergency Medication Response — how to safely give an EpiPen for severe allergic reactions and use Naloxone/NARCAN for suspected opioid overdose.

What You’ll Learn 

• Recognize life-threatening emergencies and quickly decide when to act.
• Perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
• Use an AED confidently and lead a team resuscitation.
• Control life-threatening bleeding using direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquets.
• Administer EpiPen and Naloxone safely and appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with 911 and arriving EMS providers.
