General Questions

What types of training and services does BVAC offer?

BVAC offers a wide range of training and support services, including CPR and emergency response training, AHA courses, firearm safety and NYS CCW training, tactical medical courses, additional hands-on programs such as Stop the Bleed and First Response Essentials, room rentals, and other professional training programs.

Where is BVAC Rescue Response Training Center located?

BVAC is located at 214-29 42nd Avenue, Bayside, New York 11361, in the heart of Bayside, Queens, just steps from the Bayside Long Island Rail Road station on the Port Washington Branch and close to MTA bus service, including the Q13 and Q31 on Bell Boulevard, with additional nearby access to the Q12 and NICE Bus n20G/n20H along Northern Boulevard.

What are your office hours?

Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. For the best response, it is still a good idea to call ahead or send a message through the contact page.

Do you still provide ambulance or transport service?

No. BVAC no longer provides ambulance and transport services they have been discontinued. Currently focused on training and related services.

How do I register for a class?

You can register by visiting the class page directly or by using the training calendar to view upcoming dates. Each listed class links to its own registration page.

Do you offer both individual and professional training?

Yes. training for community members, first-time learners, healthcare providers, instructors, public safety personnel, workplace teams, and other professionals depending on the course.

NRA & NYS CCW Training

What is included in the 18-Hour NYS CCW course?

The course is designed to meet New York State concealed carry training requirements and includes 16 hours of classroom instruction and 2 hours of live-fire training. highlights firearm safety, legal responsibilities, and hands-on instruction for applicants.

Do I need to bring my own firearm to the CCW class?

No. BVAC provides the necessary equipment, ammo, and safety gear, and that personal firearms are not permitted for the class.

Do I need a handgun license or permit to take the class?

No. License or permit are not required to attend the class, which makes it suitable for first-time applicants starting the process.

Are rental, ammo, or safety gear fees extra for the CCW class?

Those items are included and no charge for firearm rental, Simunitions, protective glasses, or ear protection.

CPR, AHA & Emergency Response Training

Do you offer CPR and American Heart Association courses?

Yes. BVAC offers AHA training, including CPR-related programs and professional-level courses such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS, along with instructor-level training shown on the site.

Do you offer tactical medical or trauma training?

Yes. BVAC offers tactical medical training and trauma-focused education. The site highlights courses such as PHTLS and references tactical medical training for high-pressure emergency response.

What is Stop the Bleed training?

Stop the Bleed is a hands-on bleeding control course that teaches students how to recognize life-threatening bleeding, apply direct pressure, pack wounds, and use a tourniquet before EMS arrives.

What is First Response Essentials?

First Response Essentials is a practical emergency response course that supports real-world readiness and foundational lifesaving skills. This includes AHA BLS CPR & AED certification, Stop The Bleed Certification, EpiPen and Narcan administering.

Room Rentals

Does BVAC offer room rentals for meetings, training, or workshops?

Yes. BVAC offers multiple room rental options in Bayside, Queens, including classroom-style spaces and a conference room for meetings, workshops, training sessions, presentations, and hybrid events.

Are the room rentals set up for hybrid meetings and presentations?

Yes. The room rental pages highlight features such as Logitech Rally Bar systems, Samsung displays, Zoom Rooms video conferencing, and high-speed internet for in-person and remote participation.

How many people can the rental spaces hold?

Room 1 and Room 2 are listed for 12 to 18 guests with tables or up to 20 guests with chairs only. The conference room is listed with a 10-person table capacity.

Is there elevator access to the rental spaces?

No. The rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator access.

Is parking available for room rentals and classes?

Yes. Metered street parking on 42nd Avenue, the Bayside Municipal Parking Field, and additional nearby street parking. Also with convenient access to the LIRR Bayside Station and nearby bus lines.
